Teach For Ghana (TFG) is a nationwide movement of leaders expanding educational opportunity to all children in Ghana. We recruit Ghana’s best and brightest recent university graduates and young professionals to teach Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, and English, in low-income communities in Ghana through a 2 year leadership development fellowship. Participants of the TFG leadership development fellowship are called fellows. After the 2 year fellowship, fellows are inducted into the prestigious TFG Alumni Network: a pantheon of outstanding leaders bound by a common experience of teaching in low-income communities, and driven by a shared purpose of eliminating educational inequity in Ghana as they ascend to leadership positions in all sectors.
Founded in 2013 by Daniel Dotse, Sadik Antwi-Boampong, Abdul Razak Musah and Carolina Ramirez, the organization is headquartered in Accra and currently operates in Northern Region and Volta Region with plans of expanding to all ten regions of Ghana by the year 2022.
WE REPORT OUR ACTIVITIES IN THE FOLLOWING THREE CORE AREAS:
STUDENT OUTCOMES:We measure the academic achievement, mindset development, and access to resources of the students we serve.
FELLOW LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:We believe the following skills ultimately characterize a great leader and pay keen attention to tracking them throughout the TFG fellowship journey:Backwards Planning, Strong Classroom Culture, Tracking and Measuring Impact, Ambitious Student Vision, Relationship Building, Reflection and Learning.
ALUMNI IMPACT Our alumni are at the forefront of our mission working diligently to ensure that all children in Ghana have the opportunity to attain an excellent education.
